How did you think of your username? How did you come up with it?

I came up with my username when I first came to yahoo.com, I browsed through their games. (I'm was mainly addicted to chess, even now) So I signed up. Before, the only thing I used a computer for is for gaming. So I came up with dgamer. (As in the gamer)

As time passed, I lost my password and the answer to my "secret" question that I'm supposed to use to retrieve my password. So I made dgamer1000.

As time passed, I lost my password again, and switched to dgamer2000.

repeat until you get to dgamer5000

Now I try to keep everything the same, except on AIM(im still on 4000)

How about you guys? how did u come up with ur username?

I first entered all fake information for when I signed up(Don't worry, it's all correct now ) so I just put a stupid username in, thinking I'd only have to visit the forum once and ask my newbie questions.

My first thread
http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=2954&b=7

My second thread
http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=2953&b=7

My Thrird Thread
http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=3130&b=10

My Fourth Thread
http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=3122&b=10

My Fifth Thread(Kinda funny looking back on your threads )
http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=7827&b=9

Anyways, this was my first forum, so I didn't wanna give out any personal info. so I just picked a random stupid name "yellow".

It just kinda sticks because it's too late to change it,lol.

It was my former philosophy :
I thought there was a sword over my head, and it could fall on me at any time. So I have to enjoy every moment I live, because maybe tomorrow is my last day.

But I changed my philosophy and I'm searching a good username right now.

Ok, The whole idea of Wik was made up by my friend. when pokemon was the hip thing everyone played the game and I wouldl name all of my pokemon really weird names. my freind also did this and he caught a psyduck (avatar) and named it wik. I liked it, did the same thing on my game...and it came to mind when I re-named myself. ( I was "person" before, I hardly ever posted)

There was an X-Box emulator hoax and I fell for it. I E-Mailed him and told him that there were three guys trying to hack him:

1. TopGAMERZ2000
2. JohnyBoy
3. H-Zence

And that's where it came from.

I've been called Pincho Paxton since I was at school. I once asked my friend why he called me Pincho Paxton, and he said it was because I had a fight with someone called Pincho Paxton. Not sure why I got his name.

Story of my life

My first post was waaay back when GuyS ran the XMB forums.

My name? Speaks for itself

My old name, david89, was just my name then the last two numbers of the top line (yeah, I know 0 is there too) - I only expected to visit once but it stuck

Well I got my name from two places:

1. Killswitch Engage (a death metal band for those who don't know them)
2. Deus Ex.

Number two seems a little strange but I bought the PS2 version and got up to a point where a 'killswitch' is mentioned regularly. So I thought it sounded cool and used it!

For those of you that can remeber it i used to be called Tiax, that one came from a game character I invented. The game was never finished. (surprisingly). I actually changed my name because I was a bit of an annoying newb...

Not that hard with me....

Slight clue is my old MUD name used to be Nerrad, but tends to be used a lot, so I switched. Personally preffered Nerrad though, sounds more fantasy like.

Where my current name came from is my real name. But as most of the people here know, I used to be called NWC_Omega (still am in IRC). I used the name Omega in many games I played where I could input my own name. Then, I played my first online game ever (Mech Warrior 4: Vengeance). I soon joined up with the Neo Wolf Clan and they gave me the tag {NWC}. Thats where my name came from, clan influences on Mech Warrior 4

Cheers,
Preston

From the Shadow Temple in Zelda: OoT

I was originally Shadow Spirit, but decided to go for the shorter, simpler 'Shadow', which I generally go by elsewhere also.

Mouse came to mind when I joined DarkBASIC way back when. I'm not sure why. I eventually lost my password (was one of the top posting members too-- mostly total crap) and became Dark[BASIC, get it]Mouse (I got to the top posting members again, through a slightly smaller percentile of total crap). I've been Mouse and/or DarkMouse on IRC, AIM, MSN, and forum boards ever sense.

when i was a sims fan, i wanted to join the website as Sim Reaper, as a pun of the Grim REaper, and the name sims, but it nagged me that the name "sim" was copyrighted, so i changed it to dimreaper, which is where u'll find i'm called in most places.

"Froogle" came from when i join [href]www.TDZK.com[/href]I thought "ooh what sounds gut? I know, Froogle sticks in my head a lot, i'll use that" and then realised 3 mins later that i had only seen it a while ago on google, (http://froogle.google.com) but if they try to sue me, i'll sue them for using sublminal messging. . so when you see me around places which i cud get sued for being called Froogle i use DimReaper (might sound absurd i'd get sued but remember [href]www.mikerowesoft.com[/href]?)

I used to be 'sonic' here, but there was already a 'sonic' on RGT that I did not know about. There is also a 'sonicboom' here. 'sonic' is my work nickname because of my short spiky hair.

To stop confusion I renamed to 'spooky' because it is short, begins with 's' and had potential for a nice avatar! I notice 'sonic' name has now been snapped up.

I made mine up. No, seriously. It doesn't mean anything, or have any weird and wonderful story behind it.

The first time i used it was in the Warcraft 3 level editor, i created a hero (one of those fishy-looking creatures) called "Khar'nor" and i liked the name, so now i use it for everything.
