Finally i have something to show. I made a little 'teaser-movie'. Hope you like it. No sound, not added yet. Well, i have a lot to do yet. It's just to show what i'm programming now. I think it's going along nice. Don't worry about the low FPS, it's just the movie file to keep it small.

Could be interesting. But base it on Chase HQ 2 - the controls in the first one were awful. In addition, in the second one, you've got a sidekick that can shoot out of the car.

Another thought - why not aim towards Spy Hunter ?

It looks a lot like the actual game. I think I still have it! I like the game, could be great if you combined a few games together into one game. I think a mix of Chase HQ, Spyhunter, and Outrun would make an really good, fairly original game.

Well, at first i want to make a game based on the first one. With cartoon characters (maybe a little manga - doin' a crash course manga drawing right now), multiple cars, some extra fx and to hail 'chase hq' re-create the soundfx ('this in nancy... ) in an original way. I don't want to make an exact 3D copy of the game. I want to create a game myself.

After that i may add some upgrades like shooting missiles etc.

I love the first one, have it emulated, and spend days in the arcade back then playing it along with another faves Afterburner2 and Twin Cobra.

Concerns i have is my car- and trackmodels. I can't create good track models (not yet) and the cars aren't as good as i want them to be. But maybe if i have good code i'll try the 'team request' board.

Definitly looks good, a demo would be nicer but still I can see the car physics are pretty good and I think the models are spot on too. Keep it up!

Trying is the first step towards faliure.

Bad news on the project. I received my new mobo and cpu and build my compie. But... accidentally erased my 'programs'-partition where my DB was installed, and so my code. File recovery didn't work. So... back to the drawing board!!! I still want this game to go!

Arrgghhh! Nightmare! Mind you, treat the other version as a throw-away prototype, and make this next one bigger and better Good luck,

Bad luck! Have you got a CDR Drive? If so i recommend backing up your darkbasic stuff once a month on a re-writable CD.

I admit, very stupid. But LamptonWorm is right. This was a rough sketch. Now on with the bigger and better version.
