Hey. I am a n00b to dark basic pro etc. (dont look at my sign up date!). I've been working on this small project over the past week.
It's called ma'trix0r, a matrix editor for DBP.
Its simple to use, and you dont need heaps of code in your project to load the home-baked levels you create.
Simply Type:
------------------------
Loadlev$ = "my level.lev"
gosub _trixload
------------------------

This program is still an alpha
The following functions are still being built:
Texture placing
Object placing/rotating

Anywayz, check it out. Please report bugs to weamdebest@hotmail.com
If you like it, please let me know. If you dont, still let me know. i can change it to suit everyone?
The below is a 5-second untextured snow level lol

hmm. texture placing is now 80% complete. I have decided to add a texture-builder into the program too.
btw, the program is integrated between visual basic 6 and darkbasic pro.
Creating the textures, matrix size, filename of your level and choosing objects to add to the object library is all done in the vb6 GUI. Placing and modifying objects, textures and molding matrix tiles is all done in the second part of the program.
simply click "enter matrix" to jump from program to program
