I worked on some alpha channel commands. Here is a little demo to test the commands. You can dl it here (alpha channel demo)

All things are sprites, cos I didnt find a way to use alpha channels to be used with paste image. It works with sprites (and planes - no tested yet)

The first one blend an image to an other image alpha channel

The next use some drawing to an image with different alpha channel and color.

The third set some pixel of the image to an different alpha channel

It looked like this



here i use an image to change the alpha channel of a pure green image

and

For this I draw on a red image with color and alpha channel (the alpha channel value is mentioned in the image). The background are boxes in different color to show the effect.

There was no responce to the demo so I deleted it from my site.
If you are interested in, i can mail it to you (about 500k zipped)
