DarkBASIC Discussion / Is Conv3ds my problem??

When I make a model in AutoCAD, export it to .3ds, and convert it to .x with Conv3ds, then load it into db, texture and lighting go straight down the crapper. Usually the object is just a grey sillhoute of the object and you cant even see the geometry. If I try to add a texture in db (texture object x,x) it does nothing. Maybe it will have a slight change in color, but its stlil crap on a stick.
Is this a fault of the conv3ds converter?

I've never had that problem, and I've converted some pretty complex models...

I love Star Trek.
Especially the Episodes with Starships in.

it may be the format of 3ds thats being exported from your application without teture co ordinates.

good call indi. Assuming it doesnt export with uv coords, would I have to bring it into max to get them or what
