ok.. i got a new computer all, Xp Home... But it seems that if i put a CD in the CD-ROM drive (D:\) the computer doesnt see it. If i try to explore it will say "Please insert a disk into Drive D:."
I've tried some different CDs, all work with XP, but none are recognized. I'm new to the XP world, so could anyone help me out?

You did what? For who?! For how many jellybeans?!?

Sounds like a dodgy CD drive - do you have another one to test ?
Another cause would be trying to use DVD's in a CD drive...

ok, ok, scratch what i've said, i noticed the D drive is not my CD-rom drive... But all that shows up in My Computer is A: (Floppy) C: (Local Hard Drive) and nothing else.... except D: of coarse, but thats not it. Is there any easy solution to get my CD-Rom drive to show up? or mabey i need to install something for it... becuase nothing even auto-runs when it should

XP supports CDROMs natively so if your's isn't recognized, it's either not plugged in correctly, dodgy, or broken.

You could try uninstalling everything on the IDE channels and let XP recognise them again...
