wow. look at this.

the line makes a growing sin/cosine spiral, but that's not the strange part. the beauty comes when it fills up the whole screen. you may not notice it from where you are sitting, but step back a little and look at it. it shows a very neat pattern not unlike oriental depictions of the sun, and a little like a fingerprint. (screenshot below.)



and it gets even more interesting when it's compressed to half it's size. now it looks like something you would see on an asian rug.



funny how computers generate patterns from nature and those that have been around for centuries...
