Can DB1 or DBP do this?
Yes or No?

I know it's an older game. But I see nothing else out there in the share/freeware domain close to it.

Would anyone who's done some serious 3D coding with the DB tool take a look and give me thair opinion if DB can do this as well or better?

Hmm...
IMO that would be pretty hard to recreate in DB/DBPro, although if you are experienced and focused, it could probably be done in DBPro

=P anything can be done in db if you have the time and resources... remember the .dll expansion...

So that's two tentative affirmatives, thanks guys.

I'd like to pickup on the 3D
and I feel that this
type of sim (relatively few moving simple objects)
good other simple static objects,
excellent texturing,
nice consistent physics (rubbery in this case),
would be the minimum type of immersive environment that I'd expect to see in a game nowadays.

I'm assuming the sky would be handled by a movie animation texture in DB. The reset of it should be possible using the tool. Darth is there anything done in Bonzala that you think that would require a .dll?

I was mainly wondering about the speed. On the typical 1GHz machine could a DB translation be executed as well or better as Bonzala is on my 1.2 GHz? (Underclocked at 900Mhz for long life.)

...
wow, that looks sweet
just by looking at the screenshots, I'd say it's possible... wouldn't be easy of course... but possible.
