This is my first...err, major (if you could call it that) project. It's just a combat system that anyone can use freely in their games. I'm trying to keep it small, I just hit 50 lines. Shouldnt take that long, and I will probobly release it tomorrow.

Should make all the newcomers happy, I mean its a battle system that can be used right away. So, we will see how my first major... project... thing.... goes.

50 lines??
Im sorry man, but a combat system thats worth anything will be more then 50 lines; or 100...maybe 500 - 1000...

or maybe I don't understand what you combat system will be capable of. Can you please enlighten us as to what your combat system is, will be able to do?

because i think he should read the guidelines there for posting in the WIP section. he had no screenshots, and nothing to show. i just get tired of people ignoring the rules.

Nightgiant, would anybody really want to see a screenshot of a few measly lines of code? I think not, and plus you can get it in the codebank section. I didn't break any rules, so back off.

You shouldn't post in the WIP section if you dont have anything to show

I think waiting 'til a bit further on is a good idea. I can do 50 lines in a couple of minutes, and even though the program might only display a dancing circle

Think again. WIP means that you have something worth showing. Whilst source code would normally be OK, 50 lines is really pushing it [Unless it was a 20-liner type entry!].

Hehe, you can't call a 2-day project major - a major project would be like a full game, or an application - your working on a code snippet mate . I don't get annoyed at posts like this, I get more annoyed when we all get excited over a cool screenshot then the project gets dumped because it's too big.
