Which can DBPro handle faster, a .bsp map or .x map? I have software to build both, btw.

That's a real hard call. There are pros and cons to each method. I'd suggest trying BSP since you have the tools and check out the speed. If you don't like it, switch to .X/DBO, but be prepared to possibly write your own level loading code and model/object management logic.

Strangely enough, i think both file types can be run very fast, but its our engine that lags. We're using a .x engine inspired by Kensupen's .x engine (which makes full of use of "intersect object"). Maybe this command is just slow...

Konrad, check out your other post with regards to using BSP for terrains. BSPs are for indoor locations where as .X, .DBO or most mesh based formats supported by DBPro for terrains. Is a matter of balancing requirement and speed depending on your use of the two formats.
