I know Silent Hill 2 models where created in this so I thought Id try... but It is probably to expensive

n0id, I suggest you check out Alias Maya, it is one of the most common used 3d animation/modeling suites out there and they also have e Personal Learning Edition free for download if you aren't going to use the stuff you create in it for commercial purposes.

The PE edition does add watermarks though.

Softimage XSI/EXP 3.0 is a free version(weighs in at 149MB). The only requirement is you register with them for a download link...the program suggests that you run it in 1280X1024 resolution when you start it.
