Has anyone else noticed our forums are going in a loop? We get the same posts being reposted, the same type of people spamming and distrupting the forums, the same cycle of going through a new update.

This, like so many other posts lately, has been posted before.

Well I've been on these forums off and on for a while and haven't seen this post before. So from now on, if I have anything interesting to post, I'll just keep my mouth shut. Sorry to offend.

You offended nobody, man. Keep posting those interesting things that make you tick. In fact, I thought that this post was a very cool thing.

Wow, that web archive is pretty cool! I stared DB during 2001 - but I don't remember that website. All I remember is a black website with dark grey buttons. And you had to create an account to download the V1.09 Upgrade. They said, "Hurry, get it now before the rush!!!"

Damn straight. From now on you and everyone else need to run new thread ideas by me in at least one week in advance so I have time to approve them for posting. This seems to be the only way we can sift out all the already posted stuff and keep the forum new and fresh.

God, that's been posted at least a million times. Along with pictures of people's desktops, their post counts and pictures of themselves.

How about if we post the coconut count. I've got two. They're hanging in my roof.

Nobody has mentioned that before.

Hey, I have like this great idea!

Lets get together and form a software house. Obviously I will be the MD, and you guys can work for me. You will all get paid once we sell 1000 units. Until then you pay me only £1 per hour. This is to cover my costs. I expect a fully working demo by friday. Email me at bigboss@ferretsoftware.com for the game design, which BTW is completely original. But lets just say its an RPG.... with perhaps aspirations to becoming a MMORGLEBOLOX... with a bit of FPS thrown in, and a car chase scene, and perhaps a bit of platform. With football management. In outer space.... erm...

Cheers

Dude! No need to be so negative. I will state for the record that the company will make at least £50,000. Easy. Each programmer that works for me is then entitled to their share. The percentage share you recieve will depend on my (and only me) decision on how much help you have been. A simple 12 hour programming day (for 6 months) should at least demand a 5% take of the pie. Probably. And depending how good the stuff is (in my opinion again) of course. If your coding/art/sound/design happens to be very similar to what I've done in the past (which obviously I'm not going to show you...), then, of course, you will get nothing.

Oh, and I want to also include a trading element to the game. And magic. And robots. Yes.

So, by friday people!!!!

Hmmm...

I've got an idea for a company. I'll form a law firm with a buddy of mine who is a lawyer. We'll sue ferretsoft in a class action suit, and make millions in a secret settlement. We all share, after the firm's expenses have been covered of course, which amounts to 75 % of potential settlements.

We'll all be rich!

Um. He is from Sweden, and I am in the UK.....

And MicroMan, I wouldn't try it if I were you. It will only reduce your part of the take. And now 99% of DB'ers have now signed up, so don't be nasty.

I can offer you the last programming job if you are willing to say sorry, and take a 50% reduction in (estimated) wages.

Cheers

Like everything else it will probably end up with Microsoft because the idea of copyrighting game ideas is probably already patented by them.

Oh, and it will be written for the Gamecube only. Still in DBP mind, so someone had better write the conversion code by thursday. So that should solve the MS angle. Nintendo also know me well, and they have promised tonnes of cash.

And sorry Rich, but it turns out I thought of the design first. Send me your design in full, and I'll prove it.

Cheers
