hey, im making a first person shooter, i have obtained a G3 model and opened it in 3dsmax 6.

looks cool there, but when i put it in game, its all messed up and the light makes it look crap lol.

p.s. im using panda directx export

Looks as though the normals might be messed up. Doesn't look textured in any case. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Try

set normalization on

and see if that helps. Also, it looks like your tower top is semi imploded? Let me guess, it's a .X file and you're using path 5.2. If so, you need to triangulate the model because the .X parser for 5.2 has a bug that hates quad or higher polygons.

Looks like the level (not the gun model) is messed up too. I recognize it as a DeleD level so it probably contains quad/higher polygons too. Triangulating the level in DeleD and exporting it to another .x file might help.

Simply select all objects and use the Triangulate tool. After that, your objects are all triangulated and you can simply export your entire scene to another .x file using File - Export.
