I'm beeen wonering what's better than anim8or that's also for free that can be better than anim8or.because im still not used to the interface and stuff. I still don't know how to make a human model in anim8or and the human tutorials they said to me aren't even for anim8or they're for 3d studio max for god's sake. If not another program can anybody tell me a tutorial for a human model.

gMax is free. And there IS a way to get .X files out of it. Im going to make a little walkthrough for it soon.

if you don't mind spending a little time studying, blender seems pretty sweet.

interface takes a little getting used to though.

the last time i got gmax it told me that if i had a serial number. well i didn't have one and didn't know what to do later on i''ve deleted it. so all this time i still don't know how do you get the serial number.

i've already got wings3D but never tried it. and i haven't heard of blender though. Walaber can you tell me where you can find it?

make sure you check out the beginners guides and tutorials, or you will be lost by the unusual interface. however, it's free and *really* powerfull.

Blender now has some .X export scripts. Search this forum to find the URLs.

You have to register Gmax with Discreet before you can get it to work. My personal opinion is that GMax is a waste of time unless you making mods for games with game paks or you're planning on buying 3DS Max later.
