I suggest you try Lithunwrap...You can find it on Simple's website.

Basically,it will let you lay out the mesh onscreen without affecting the actual looks of it(only the texture placement data aka UVW coordinates) and then save the UVWs as a bitmap to be applied on the model and painted on.

Just re-export to .X for 3dCanvas to keep every setting ok.

Red Giant 2183:

You are very wrong...

3Dcanvas is a .X file modeler/animator...

Also, you can get Lithunwrap on SIMPLE's website(he's a DB user)...Just look for him here or on RGT...He's everywhere. lol

Didn't you read the cazzer website...It's a tutorial on how to get hierarchic animations into DB using 3dc....There's even an example to download....

You guys should be glad Cazzer is still on after all those years....Well,lol,in fact,it's people repeating themselves like me all the time who should.

Hi I am having a little trouble with the textures in 3DC. 3DC comes with some default textures but I want to make my own! I know that the textures must be square and I know that they have to be in a specific folder (I've been at this game for a wile) but I need to know the exact dimentions required to create a texture that 3DC will exept.

It accepted 512x512...Or maybe it just resized it internally but loaded correctly.

that happens with me but all u have to do is position it on the screen at 0,0,0 and play it, it still moves aside but that will allways happen.

Why don't use Milkshape for modeling? I have 3DC too, but MS is far easier in use. 3DC is quite nice for logo making and AVI recording though...
