I think all ISP's should require thier users to answer a skill testing question. Too many people are just too stupid to use the internet or even computers for that matter.

I asked a guy on the phone "Do you have an ethernet cable?", and he said "Yes", and then I asked him to "Plug the ethernet cord into your modem and your ethernet adapter in your computer" to which he replied "I don't have an ethernet cord". This guy needs to be smashed in the face with a brick for wasting my time.

I guess I shouldn't really complain. Stupid people keep my "non" existant children in shoes.

But what about the older people? Not all of them grew up with computers.

Hey Zink, is your signature a quote from Patrick Norton of the Screen Savers?

Tapewormz, what the hell are you babbling about?
If the world were to be run by your rules, all the normal people would lay dead on the floor while the computer nerds would sit in throne chairs drinking iced tea and asking passerbys complex skill testing questions about C++.

Hell, even I don't excatly know what an "ethernet cable" is.
You can't call to say "Hello, I would like to subscribe for internet please" only to get a "Sir, please answer this skill testing question: What are the various algorithms used in porgramming Artificial Intelligence?" "uh...."

hehehhe....well that would be pretty funny I guess ...

Yeah, what your suggesting is just a tad OTT.

yeah, ethernet is a company, they have internet stuff as well (don't know if they just make it or if they also give you the internet, but I assume the latter)

You're just jealous cuz the voices don't talk to you!!!

@N30F15H: You're ruining the reputations of F15Hes everywhere!

Back on topic, I think Tapewormz is right. There are too many people online that shouldn't be. I was once asked to record the internet on a floppy so the owner could surf the net at home, without a telephone line.

Can I see a demo now? [edit]Disregard, I saw the demo.

@N30F15H: I'm not leading an angry mob after you... yet. lol
See the tongue smilie? It means I was just teasing you. Though that
thread you made about the stereo was pretty bad... Just out of curiosity, where are you from?

Back on topic, I always keep my computer's case open because of the heat. One day, someone saw that and said, "Hey, isn't that dangerous? That's how viruses get in!"
Now, where can I find an angry mob and some torches?

Can I see a demo now? [edit]Disregard, I saw the demo.

lol, i have diagnosed myself insane from all points of view, i think its the coke anyway, the ministry of insania is a twisted version of the ministry of truth and the ministry of cows is the same to the ministry of love (or whatever) from 1984

BTW im actually from England, and i wasnt retaliating TKF15H, i just hate almost every1 at my school

BTW i am sorry for that post, i had coke which explains everything lol

back onto the subject r u sure that these ppl u know HAVE brains, anyway my sister thought that her laptop didnt have a sound card, despite me telling her that she needed to install the drivers on a disk she had, and that there was a sound card!, a week later she stuck the CD in, did the installation and guess what? it worked!

@Mr X: His current location isn't necessarily his original location.
I was born in Brazil, moved to Guyana, then El Salvador, and now I'm back here. See?

@N30F15H: Sure, blame the coke.

Everyone probably thinks it's just a joke, but surprisingly, I have seen white-out on the screen.
