Hey guys.. i thought this would be the best place to post this so..
Im doing a project for school about "Future Careers" and one part of it needs information about a person in the same catagory as i am trying to be and succesful.
for exact information on what its asking read this..:

"Choose one individual (by name) that is succesful in your choosen career field. This requirement is open to interpretation, but it needs be someone that you either know or know of. If you choose a nationally known individual, research his or her personal history, schooling, and career via [ublic records/Internet etc.
Make a complete list oftheir schooling e.g. university attended, degree earned, time spent at their university and in their career, anual salery (if available), basically anything and everything about their professional life that would assist you in pursuing the same career path. Ask them for any particular inishgts into their career that they may have, good points, bad points, etc. Perhaps things they would change etc."

Now that you read that.. i would like some well known programmers to help me. My age is only 13 and this project is due Thursday of next week. one week from today.
Any help would be greatly apriciated. nothing personal is asked for and not pictures are required.. not all information must be answered as written above but any would be great.

Thanks in advance for anyone who is going to help me with my career project.
FYI: My basic career catagory is Game programer, software design, computer programmer. Thanks again.

Yikes! Who did this to you. My advice is to go to school on the due date with a leather jacket on and say you couldn't do it beacause you were making out with some girls. Hey it may not get you the mark, but if you say it loud enough you might get lucky with a girl.
But seriously I'd shoot myself. I now end my retarded post and wish you luck.

PS. Think about it an eternity of peace.(Joking)

Just email Lee or Mike and see if one of them would like to answer the questions, TGC don't seem to mind with helping out school projects like this.

Err, it just said research the information, not interview the person. I'd just search the web for that stuff, like the Gamespy interviews, etc.

That would be extremely hard to do then. Things like your annual salary and what school you went to isn't easy to find through public records.

Hi,

You should also try to look at the GameDev forums http://www.gamedev.net and the IGDA (International Game Developers Association) forums http://www.igda.org.

It is not impossible they have some biography on some known programmer on their sites.

Good luck with your project,

Is it that hard to find? Then, I am assuming that you do not consider Mr. Gates as a programmer. Well, at least he used to be one, but I guess it should still count right?

Most well known people have personal web sites you could go to, I have a book with a list of them(i'll see if I can find it).

Sorry I can't find the book.

Well, if you want to do some game designers you could do Hideo Kojima or Shigeru Miyamato (Hideo is the creator of Metal Gear, and Shigeru created Mario and came up with the idea of Donkey Kong).

OK, interview me.

I make about $475,000 a year, give or take $50,000 depending on how the ol' stock options perform. I am a computer programmer who helped the original MS-DOS programmer create the original DOS, but didn't get any recognition. I was also the guy who talked the execs of Apple to hire back Steve Jobs. My best friend is Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft. I have three mansions, each of which has been featured on Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous several times. I own a Hummer. I have dated a porn star.

Oh yeah, and I program games in DBP --- did you know that John Carmack considers me his mentor? If I have time I leave him a few tips here and there on OpenGL shaders.
