This is the error report I get every time I try to cahnge a SPRITE. SET SPRITE, STRETCH SPRITE, SCALE SPRITE, HIDE SPRITE, and DELETE SPRITE all produce the BOB DOES NOT EXIST error! Whats up with this? I'm using version 1.33 I think... Please help me I'm almost done with my demo and this error is driving me crazy!
We could have handled that better.

BOB is the old AMIGA name for a sprite which was the C64 name for a player, as in Player/Missile graphics that first appeared on a home computer in 1979.

The Sprite must be created first by the SPRITE command.
Then you can change it.

The ancestor of DarkBASIC was a programming language called AMOS and the BOB is leftover AMOS nomenmclature. Since Pro is a rewrite, I don;t expect to see any more of that.

I think the error has somthing to do with the image your useing for the sprite, if the image doesn't exist of is a invalid size, it give that error. but this is all guess work from when i had the problem :S

Heartbone is right, you have to create your sprite using the SPRITE command and only then can you use SCALE, SIZE, HIDE, SHOW, etc.

If you are getting the error after having created your sprite then chances are your source image is the problem. I've found you can't use JPEGs saved at anything less than or over "10" quality in Photoshop or it generates errors. Same with using bitmaps in indexed color mode.
