this is a very broad question WM, you really need to be more specific...

if you are talking "real" composing, the best tutorial you can have is taking a music theory class.

But this is perhaps only the tip of the iceberg with music, it all depends on what you want to do.

Your question is like someone asking "How do I make a Game?"... Very broad right?

even more complicated!

first off, we don't know what your game is about; weather its a fighting or a racing game, for example.

Second of all, we don't know what tools you have for composing; ie MIDI keyboards, Software, Sound modules or sequencers, etc etc

finally, music that "flows well" with games takes plenty of knowledge of music theory, IF Im interpreting your goal correctly.


Your still going to have to be much much much more specific.

A good book is Songwriting for Dummies.

In my own personal experience, many good composers have started writing music when they were young, before any formal instruction.
