Found a tiny bug, had to repost it, so if you got a 404, try again.

Thank you!

Sounds nice, I'm gonna have to try this when I get home. I really want to see how DBpro works with multiplayer.

I don't get the controls, though. Move around and move forward?

RightButton is just mouselook. Pressing LeftButton while mouselooking moves you forward.

Or you can use WASD.

yeah, I'm behind a NAT too, and I can't do a thing about that. The problem is that the server is most likely behind a NAT too, as two NATwalled comps just can't connect. But people who aren't behind a nat can still connect.

The program closes itself, seeing only the "loadin"-screen, then back to windows

Thanks for trying it folks.

The only thing I can say about bad connections is to have DirectPlay open on your router. NAT isn't as big a problem as DirectPlay.

UPnP settings are important.

And my friend is behind NAT (In another state) and connected with this setting in his router:

Trigger Port:47624
Trigger Type: Both (TCP/UDP)
Public Port: 2300-2400,28800-29000
Public Type: Both (TCP/UDP)

Otherwise, Appreciate you trying it out.

The game froze after it started the join process. And yes I waited 10x the amount you said to wait.

Why in the 9 hells did you disable systemkeys? I had *NO* way to get out other than doing a hard reset. Very foolish.

If it hung for some reason, CTRL+ALT+DEL and kill it should work, I'm very sorry you had to reset, however.

Only reason system keys got disabled, is that there's a logging out process that removes you from the world. Just closing the program abnormally would leave you in and never able to get back on.

I can see now should leave system keys in and just let the server boot you if it doesn't see activity.

Again, very sorry.

We didn't disable systemkeys, just escape. CTRL-ALT-DEL should work.

Thanks folks for trying. Apparently the Gameserver has a memory leak and is causing some issues.

Kensupen thinks that if you create a memblock then delete it, it erases it but doesn't free the memory that the memblock occupied. Looks like what's happening...

Wouldn't have seen it otherwise.
If you have trouble connecting, try again I may've just restarted it.
He's writing up a new GameServer to test this hypothesis right now. If it works, we'll implement it into a new client.

merf.

I apologize for being too harsh :o I tried CTRL-ALT-DEL, the Start Menu key, ALT-TAB, and anything else I could think of to get out, but none worked. I've got a decent speed machine, too, so I can't think of why it hung. I'm on a wireless net connection--- wonder if that had anything to do with it....

Yes I reported that bug months ago. (You might still find it buried in the bug reports board) It's been confirmed by Lee. and the memory leak is Serious!

Thing is, you can only get routers for loan here. And that means you can't access them. password-protected buggers. anyone know somekind of crack/hack for Zyxel Prestige 600 series? (630, If I remember correctly). Sadly the default password wasn't used.

@ Jeku: When a network game is connecting in windows, it takes up 100% CPU power it seems, so if it's not connecting that might have been why you got no response.

I do apologize for any problems our software caused.

@ las6: *sigh* Bugs bugs bugs. We both over here don't really think we'll do anything "serious" in DBPro until about Patch 10-12. DBClassic didn't get really useable until then, so we think they just have to work the kinks out.

Is that overly pessimistic?
