you could Whois Search the address on the web

you mean the DNS of a http:// ?
MoZilla always displays it at the bottom of a page, as does FireFox and there is a menu item for it somewhere.
For FTP's i always use SmartFTP (can't remember why but i do)

It's weird isn't it, alot of Linux builds require you to put in thier site DNS to install/upgrade them but expect you to guess it hehee

I think that is restricted to DNS so it probarbly won'tbe much help...

he he, I just asked someone else this exact same question. If you download the trial version of WS Png Pro Pack fromhttp://www.ipswitch.com thats got a whois option (along with scanners,finger clients and all sorts.) But I don't really know how to use it.
