I am making an RTS game, starting mainly from the beginning of human life, this game is centred throughout history, and [will] involove some pretty cool stuff [Enemy occupation, realistic death, economic build-up, realistic weather, real-time clock, realistic death etc. etc.] Here are a couple of prototype pics: (VERY big pics)

Man, they're [EDIT] 200KB [/EDIT] Jpegs, what did you use to export them????

Next time, please save them as .png's, as that is a lossless compression, and can be hotlinked via freewebs ( where .jpg's/.jpeg's/.bmp's can't be )...

Also, I suggest putting in simple thumbnails ( easy to do ), and have them link to the full res pics... That way, the TGC page loads faster, and the images don't take up so much room...

Here's the images as .png's:

About the game, the level looks good, and you've started on a UI, nice.

Jess.

What do you mean by realistic death? do you mean that each soldier will die after like one hit or somethin? By the way your game sounds great, I myself have started work on a big project, I am hoping my project will get me into a game design school I want to attend.

Realistic death. When you lose the game, a 100 AMP charge comes through the mouse killing the player.

Ok, that's not what I meant - by realistic death I meant that when a unit is shot or something, it dies, or is injured. Yet, units (for this reason) are very cheap. This game is (sadly) going to take a very long time, and will very likely be released in 2005.

most games do take a long time, and thats with, like, 10-15 people on the game making team... so, yeah... no idea what my point was supposed to be...

Here are some new pictures of build 1.1 (Prototype) featuring the worker unit. I have improved the resolutions and UI to include Population etc.
