The 2D section has some dodgy files posted on there. I think that they are viruses, but whatever they are they bombed my computer. Can you remove them please.

Fine here - GIF files cant be converted to EXE just by looking at their properties.

However, the pathing(http://f6.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/kPaSQEm8w_hICDSO6lPjFzHxGwA3qR18ssIeq2VOIE-) could be causing a problem on your system (especially if you dont have all the latest updates).

Your reply is magic:

Love the viruses bit

It's just a Yahoo Groups URL. That's all. I could turn this very topic into a scary monster if I want:

Looking at the url I don't think you need any. I get a 404 not found when viewing the image URLs.

I know that in the newest update for IE MS removed functionality for this:

http://username:password@domain.com

but nothing else I think.

It completely uses up all of my internal memory, and bombs me out with a blue screen, then a grey screen, and I have to press reset.

Maybe it has something to do with AOL 9. I'll let them know about it.

Aol makes you use their browser unless you want two browsers open at the same time. I don't like having two browsers open.

Anyhow I figured out the problem. I only pasted half of the URL because I didn't realise that the properties scrolled down.

This crashes my computer bad.......

AOL 9 comes with a dialler feature (right click on the aol tray icon) which lets you simply dial in and use any browser, bypassing their software completely. The AOL companion allows you to view your email etc.

If it does, and you have XP, make sure you've got all the latest updates. If you have, it might be worth getting XP SP2 RC1

That would be the computers that are turned off then!

Was going to say 'Burn AOL' but I was getting carried away, and it'd be deleted, also I'm sure the AOL/Time Warner Group only make the finest of products, that do not harmfully detriment the ability to run any kind of other software on your machine or jepadise the stability of any code running on such said machine.
