A while ago someone mentioned you could use 'net send' to send a message over an RM network providing the admin hadn't disabled it, egerly I set out to try it and to my horror, found that my schools admin isn't as stupid as I thought.
Fastforward a few weeks to last monday, I decided to write a simple chat program (not in DB) and last night I went through the first BEta testing - I went through about 5 different versions each one being better than the last with the final being a succesful 4 way conversation with only two small bugs - both of which I've sorted today!
Now the problem with my program at the moment is it relies on using a single IP address - mine - which I have to change each day in the program. What I want to know is, do networked RM computers retain their IP address even after they are switched off? If so then I can just use the IP address of my computer in school, if not then...Well then I'm going to have to find a way to work around it...
~I see one problem with your reasoning: The fact is that is a chicken~
