All sprites for modern games are ripped from the SNES console, nobody can draw anymore, that skill was removed when the human genome project was completely in a labratory accident.

The only way anyone makes sprites any more is by ripping them from SNES games, in some cases, where there is no suiteable SNES sprite, different pixels are ripped from various sprites to compose a new sprite.

Actually there are a few manga orientated spriting sites, they're hard to find and normally indexed under manga more than they are under sprites. Mostly these sites do actually thrive on SNES rips and it's rare indeed to find new spritework.

Pixelartists are a dying breed.
