Hmmm, I used to do info studies years ago (part of Computer Science degree), where we mucked around in libraries. Personally I love 'em. Ever since I was a kid I liked libraries. Although all we did was do SQL in DBase a lot and catagorise a lot of books. Yawn. Still was part of an amazing library (Aberystwyth? Massive copyright library basically... nice...)

Have fun. Still, if it was like my college library, plently of time to sneak off to the computers and connect to the internet

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

a page is somone that stacks books and helps people find stuff. so far iv been asked by 3 people for help. each time i say "its my first day" Also in many adventure stories a page carries magical wisdome and knowledge.

Sounds like a good job. Must be relaxing working in a library. Well quiet at least.

Oh yes, I also work in a library.
It's my job to keep 150 readers silent.
The silence can be nerveracking, though.
Do you know what noise it makes to
use a keyboard in absolute silence?
And people with a mobile phone are my very best friends;
I will lead them out of the library personally

Froggermon, if you should ever feel the job is too boring, just imagine you work in a restaurant and you will like every single book.
So far the eldest book that went through my hands was 400 years old, printed at a time when the Mayflower was still growing in the woods.
I tell you, there IS some magic in it.
Is that a permanent job for you?

Libraries are tops. Shame I live in a town that has the most sterile boring library known to man with 0% wood... nasty... oh for a rotating staircase thingy... sigh...

Oh... a library page as in clerk, not from a book. I see now.
I like the whole walker-talker (my name for walkie-talkies) and name tag deal though!

one thingie...
Does people really hang around in the library?

Meaning that around here, people come to library to get some books & stuff and then leave. And there's really no "silence" thingy. That is kinda unnecessary here.
