I have an elevator in my level and I have no idea how to make it switch activated to go up and down. The elevator isnt complicated.Just a top bottom and pillars to hold it up.
Ive exported the untextured map into darkbasic and want to test it but i cant get the elevator to function. Anyone have info, I could really use it--thankyou in advance..

The elevator will have to be a seperate darkbasic object to actually make it move. You can use the move object command

if you are having trouble getting it to move based on which button you press, you could try this.

declare a variable @ the beggining called "step" and set it to 0. Then in your main loop put:

then if the player wants it to go down, you switch the step variable to a negative number and if they want it to go up, you switch it to a positive number

Hee hee, what I meant was that, this nice untextured level went corrupt, thats why Im scared to use deled again. The only way I can send you the level is I rebuild it without any texture, or in the least, only the textures that provided with the program, because they always work (whats you secret, wink wink)Ill try asap!!

Well, after sending a few emailmessages to/from you, i think we can conclude there was nothing wrong with either DeleD and your texture. It probably has something to do with your computer and other software that is installed on it (grrr to spyware, adware etc ).

Think it might be spyware/adware? Cause all the programs I have dont seem to work. Either way Deled is a great program , hope my new system doesnt have the same problems as this one, thanks!!
