Hi HZence, you can see the fps by pressing 'g', press 'f' again to hide. The game hides everything behind the fog, so when the fog is close you'll notice that the polygon count falls increasing the frames per second. Problems are when the character is walking and running, for some reason the frames just seem to fall apart, when still mine gets up to around 50fps

Every once in a while I'll flip it back on, and you've definitely improved it. My computer is slow, so it will always be slow on starting up DB apps, but it seemed to start up quicker than normal, and the loading bar did not take as long as usual. One weird thing, whenever the loading bar progressed, the screen cleared for a half second then updated the loading bar and redisplayed the logo.
And sadly still, the animations are just too slow, everything else in the game is running at a fair 25-ish FPS but the guy's running like he's suffering 5 frames per second.

Thanks BCDP, glad you noticed a difference with Beta 2, working on Snow Island i have changed the speed of the animation of the main character, from 25000 when running to 60000, which stops the slow motion style run seen in beware the moon, therefore not matter what the fps are the main character still seems to be running faster than in Beware The Moon, although it is still to be seen if this will apply on everyone elses computer when the game is released.

Alright!

That was the only thing that stopped me from playing BTM fully through.
Snow Island is looking fantastic, btw, I'll start posting in there now.

BEWARE THE MOON: SPEED IMPROVEMENT DOWNLOAD

The number one problem with Beware The Moon was the frame rate, which affected the speed the main character ran at etc, the speed has been increased so it no longer looks like its in slow motion.

Wow.
There's still some more that could be done to keep the pace of the game consistent, but that little bit you did helped loads.

The game was just more responsive overall. I ran around a corner and this mummy reached out and whacked and yelled "garrgh!!" and I jumped with frightened surprise before blasting him. It was a zombie dog that ended up killing me, it added a horrifying effect when you played the guy screaming and the dog growling, unfortunately it got caught in a loop so that my guy kept dying, standing up, dying standing up, so it repeated the sound over and over. Finally though I edged him back a bit and he finally came to rest. I felt sad for my little space looking dude as the camera slowly backed upward away from his bleeding corpse and that beautiful music played.

Excellent. Can't wait to see Snow Island.

that wouldnt make a difference, a .dll is a file that the game would need to acess. Are you sure you exported ALL the files in the zip to a directory. If your trying to run the exe strait from the zip it wont work.
