I haven't tried it so I don't know what to say. But those C++ comparisons look very ambitious, if not appealing.

So... anything from the C++ elites out there?

it sounds like a "nice" version of C++ (Like C++, only with airbags). Everything I like about all the newer OO style languages, but keeping as close to C as possible. I would try it, but it's not getting the support it needs. For example, if someone bound the Irrlicht 3D engine to it, I'd use it in a heartbeat.

If you were MEANT to understand it, we wouldn't have called it 'code'

Its quite similar to C,C++ and C#, so I do really see much point of it.


The place for all great plug-ins.

I've certainly looked at it - I'm visit that site regularly for the DM C++ compiler updates.

Firstly, did you notice that a lot of the 'no's in the C++ column were there because C++ uses a library instead of having the functionality built-in?

Anyway, I think that the language is definitely cleaner, because that was its goal (C++'s goal was to maintain C compatability).

When some of the commercial compiler writers actually start writing compilers for it, I may use it. Until then, I'll stick with C++.
There's certainly no reason for me to learn yet-another-language while I can do amost everything D does using C++.

Oh, and I wouldn't expect a port of the interface library to D any time soon
