Yes, this was developed by an indie and Valve has released it. I will definitely be checking this out when I get home tonight

Any ideas how big the download is??

You can only get it through Steam.
It is a Flash game game.
You will need a 1GHz Processor to run it at a decent framerate.
40MB Download.
However you cannot officially play it yet, but as with everything there are ways around this ... and yes this is perfectly legal just a little sneaky.

You will find the file to this in
[installdir]\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\CodenameGordon.gcf

In order to extract this you will need Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/XP with .Net Framework 1.1 installed.

Next download GCFScape ** Please note it is still in beta ** ** Use at your own Risk **

Extract and away you go

Reminds me of a 2D version of CS I played that was made by some asian people called LaLaLa Studios. Anyway, their site no longer exists so I can't post it but it was a pretty fun game.

Downloading it now.

I thought it was pretty good, the only niggle I had was the mouse wasn't quite sensitive enough. Other then that, it's definately worth it (considering it's free!), quite a bit of fun if you have spare time.

Oh, and the flash light's used in the sections where it's pitch black and you can't see.

Very sure Jeku, as that is what the website FAQ says
If this was DirectX9/OpenGL programming it is extremely slow and sloppy work... but as it's flash it is very impressive.

I'd agree the mouse isn't quite upto scratch, unless you have a very powerful machine. Also the controls are slightly laggy again unless you have a powerful machine.

Ran fine for me. It was good fun. The only thing that irritated me was that the mouse had to be onscreen to affect the aiming.

Wow, this is indeed very impressive for a flash game! Anyone know any other platformer flash games?

The only flash games I've used to are the click-'n-find or shooting gallery types! Time to Google...
