some people are probably gonna get mad at this topic
Anyways, here goes.
When I try to use the "nbtstat" command in the command prompt it doesn't work unless it's a computer on the LAN. But it should be able to work with any computer. I can ping a remote comp, not on the network, and that's it.
Here's what it looks like when I try nbtstat:
C:>nbtstat -a "Target IP" <--Does the same thing with "-a" and "-A"
Local Area Connection:
Node IpAddress: ["My IP"] Scope Id: []
Host not found.
Local Area Connection 2:
Node IpAddress: [0.0.0.0] Scope Id: []
Host not found.
but then If I ping the target IP address it replies, is there something else that I have to do first?
What does it mean by "Scope Id: []"?
