dude, what are you talking about? Howard is still on the air nationally, he's just off of whimp-ass Clear Channel stations (6). Anyway, I was mentioning that Velvet Revolver (GNR musicians + Scott Weiland of STP) were playing/interviewing live on Howard.

Anyway, they just did Slither - Acoustic version...sick
One would think that that song wouldn't lend itself well to being performed acoustic, but it sounded pretty good. I would have much rather heard it heavy like the actual single but whatever, they sounded great. It turns out the band was misinformed prior to the appearance and were told they could'nt play heavy in that studio on air but when they got there Howard was like - no way, you could play heavy no problem...but then it was too late to change the setup and wheel in the Marshall amps etc, so they did acoustic.

Hehe, yes, but the whole point of my first question was 'what's the big deal'-- not really an inquiry that requires extensive research .
