hi all
(i've already posted this in the codebase but i would like to see if there are any comments)
http://muslims.free.fr/buggy.rar
http://muslims.free.fr/car_simulation.rar

this is a car sim based on dennuzz 66 code

if you have any suggestions to improve this code, any help will be appreciated

actually, i'm trying to do something as good as in repo man (for the car sim) which is not easy at all
and i'm ready to join any team for a free open source project, well it should remain free until we make gran turismo 4

well that's all guys
see you

Hey! I must have missed this one, my name is in here

Your code is a good start, but you are not there yet. I miss the banking of the car and skidding/handling is a bit weird. Try to add a feel to your controlling. The rear tyres are weird you glued them to the body? Keep up the good work and keep us updated.

It is real real cool!
... but I tried loading my own car model with the same amount of limbs (trust me I checked with a little function I made ) but the wheels spun like a boat propeller
I think it has to do with what moddeler I used,
so what modeller did you use ?
If you tell me I can try again with a new model made in that programm then I can try it
and If it works I'll make a game
and put your name in the credits!!!

Hello The Digital boy

and thanks a looooooooooot for your compliments

i used 3dsmax 6 for this model and i exported it to 3ds and it worked perfectly from the first attempt .......

but here we go : shame on me !!! shame on me !!!
before this model i spent hours ( oops maybe less ) with another one(the taxi model offered by TGC at Christmas, thx to them) but with no success

i'm nearly sure it is a pivot problem...
as you know my model is just one object and i think the best way will be to detach the wheels as separate objects since rotating limbs is a little hard, with objects it will be easier to rotate x or y or z angle... but this is another story

but thats not all maybe the pivot must be changed in 3dsmax and i'm not yet used to these things...
center pivot, align to object, align to world...

so to be honest i couldnt yet make it work with another model, but i'm trying, anyway i think its just some little things to be fixed ( maybe too much optimistic )

oops my head
why am i programming playing is easier
ok time to go

thx again
and good luck
see you
