I did reinstall DBP and then tried to run some code off my old drive and got this message so then I typed this into the editor to see if it would run

it did run after I clicked ok in the messagebox
this did not happen on my old system or with the old code I had on my old drive

I get the same message. Mine no longer runs at all.
Windows 4.10.1998 PIII 450, 768MBRAM. A simple mesh with a sphere type ting. Had no problems running this code in DB and none in DBPro Demo. This is a system-level thing, I suspect. Can anyone tell me where to go to raise system-level issues?

It sounds like one of the compiler DLL's has been deleted/modified or corrupted - try re-installing.

Good news everybody! I really am THAT good...

Sounds like your download of P3.1 is invalid or you've got a dodgy sector on your hard drive.

I have reinstalled DBP and reinstalled patch 3.1 after I deleated it from my system and redownloaded it. It still caused this error so I reinstalled DBP and patch 2 ran fine. Reinstalled DBP and P3 and this error came up. If all of your are working these patches could conflict with my system but I can't figure out how! I hope patch 4 does not do this!!!

I suspect one of the dll's isn't being installed correctly - possible due to bad clusters etc.

Without deleting the current installation (and re-naming it), try re-installing it again (so it uses a different set of clusters)
