Hey ive been working on this for a while, but never had any web space to post shot before, but now thanks to Jimmy and dbspot.com I do and would like to share some of my work with you.

This was for my Final year project at Uni(even though its not complete yet, it has been handed in, never mind). So it is still a work in progress.

All Textures, Graphics, Models and code were done myself except for a few max textures and Kensupens collision code.

This is the main menu( which aint really finished yet.

The Options Menu

And the first in-game screenie!

If you guys like them I will post some more!

Edit: Sorry for those of you with slower conections the pics are quite big! (and i shrunk them down by 50% too!)

I'm makin' a cake...

Thanks guys!

@Magellan, Yeah I like the Options menu too, not sure if I will change the Main menu or not. Ok More Screenies!

Here is the smoke effect for the shotgun, the rays are shot out with a slight random value added so, the further away you get the more spread.

Here is my good ol' P90 with my fork lift that i did for a laugh

And last one of an outside shot, with my enemy dude

Enjoy!

That looks excellent Gir. I really like the menu's as well, they're very professional.

I don't know if it's just me, but recently the game around here keep getting better and better.

hehe ummm demo? at the minute there is no real AI to speak of and i really need to rip out the sooting bullet code thing, as it works on sin and cos, and therefore looses accuracey once you get closer to 45 degrees. I wanna get the menu bullet proof before i got and start ripping the crap out of it. So it may be a while for a demo, but rest assured! there will be one....at some point

And thanks for all the positive feedback! much appreciated!

Pete

Looks very nice, can't wait to play a demo
One thing i did notice, not that its a big deal cause the over all look is really good, but your last picture i can't really tell but the guys hands look out of place to the gun like he's holding it at the barrel maybe the right hand should be back more?, like i said can't really tell could just be the cam angle or type of gun, might look different from the side view. Other then that and thats not really a big deal, it looks very nice.

Main menu looks nice.

Brilliant pic of 'Dave Fury'

The in-game shots look nice, solid and varied, just maybe needs some more detailed textures and lighting?

Yeah it does the last two pics are of levels which are not lightmapped yet. And Im gonna put in some more models in for detail.

As for the hand, it is positioned rightly. What you ccant see is the other handle on the gun. I checked out some pics on the net to see how it was supposed to be held.

The pic of 'Dave Fury' is actually my mate, I hadnt intended to put him in it, but i was going through some pics and it was just perfect with some photoshoping

Think I will try in build in some dirtyness to the lightmaps once they are done.

Thanks for the feedback keep it coming!!!

That IS contructive. I'm trying to say make the guy look less like a dorky nerdy guy and try making him more like 007(Women aroud him) like spies are supposed to be cool, right.

I agree with manticore. He does look like he needs some laxative. Other than that the game looks really good.

I hate 56k, have already poseted this but here goes again! Back at home now so i cant check the boards as much as i could before.

As for my mate on the menu, i was going for the gritted determination look, but i will see what i can do, thanks for the crits and the complements.

The smoke effects were my way of getting round keeping tabs on the bullet holes on the walls and giving them a life variable, good for speeding up the game too Once again the transparency bug got in the way but i got round it eventually!

it looks really cool, the only thing i see weird is the shotgun "smoke effect". i just don't get it. to me it looks like little gray globules floating in front of the wall. other than that it looks great.

oh, and about the gun, could you post where you got the info about it, it looks really strange and i'm curious about it now.

oh, wow. insignificantpunks.cjb.net.
no: website for progs yet.

Google for the pics although the pistol and shotdun were actually done without referance, i was going for the Doom2 style shotgun.

As for the smoke effects they are animated, thats why they look a bit strange
