Hi guys!

Well, I've been modeling with MilkShape lately and this is my first attempt at doing a vehicle in MilkShape, how it's doing? (540 polys)

/edit: Modelled in MilkShape and rendered in 3DSMAX 3

lol, yeah me too...well, I got some photos of the T-90 as reference, and this is the result of my bad modeling hehe just joking , I could add it more detail, but with textures, so it looks more realistic...hmmm I'll see if I can add it more detail by textures, but just for now, it's good

hehe thanks

This is the photo I used for main reference:

And this for the side view:

The big problem with this is the texture isnt detailed enough to define the shape of the tank. Look at the first reference photo - lots of little dips and indents and riveted sheets of armour etc - with that your model would look much better. Dont take this the wrong way though, this is still very good for a first model

yeah, I agree with you Moonshine, it does need a better texture job (though I suck at texturing ), but yea well, for being my first model, isn't so bad thanks

It's a good start man, although you could add some more details on the mesh and make a proper texture. But for your first tank, it's great

the first vehicle would be a leopard 2 german battle tank. now the model would be great for RTS or a sim it would be great, but if it is for a shooter you may wanna add more detail other than just in texture

well, I'll try to render the tank in ortographic views so it can be used as texture maps, so I can add it more detail for it to look good, if anyone wants it like it is, I can upload it

BTW thanks for the suggestions TimberWolf ...I'll look for pictures of that Leopard tank to see if I can do it then

yep, the first pic is definitally a Leopard MBT.

I have no clue what that second pic is...

but T-90s are basically T-72s with upgraded engines and electrics btw
