I just started this today.

Im attempting to start off a model for a character for a game in development. If anyone thats good with humanoid modeling can give me a hand on this, it would be great. I esspecialy need a skinner and animator in the future.

Heres the my consept art (brace yourselves):

I know, this is gonna be a pain in the @$$.

Ive already posted a team request here:
http://darkbasic.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=32615&b=9

If anyone can assist it would be great.

lol, everyone is saying that, Ive nvr played an FF game and her name is from a person I know, o well, names can be changed. Anyway, Low poly is fine as long as you can tell whoes who.

LUNA f
Usage: Roman Mythology
Means "the moon" in Latin. Luna was the Roman goddess of the moon, frequently depicted driving a white chariot through the sky.

well if you post a pic from the front and the side with the arms out to the sides then it is better for someone to model it..

I try and draw that, if anyone can donate parts that would be swell to, an arm, legs, hopefuly a female torso... in milkshape perferably, I dont want any bloody packages arriving at my door step. Any female model parts would be helpful.

Thx

Ok, I attempted to open the door and try skining to find instant death...

What is that? Half her skirt is textured in milkshape and the rest (parts that I added on after merging a file) are just colored. In Lith only the original file parts appear and my addons are gone, so shes naked.... Is there something I have to set thoes faces to in order for it to render?

Help?

Either the new parts you have merged in dont have the texture assigned yet, or if they do they dont have any UV's yet and are likely to be all bunched up in a corner, thus only getting a few pixels of texture space

Hope that helps a bit

on old tut I wrote that might help explain things a lil' using milkshape

although if I was you I'd checkout lithunwrap or Unwrap 3D, the latest version is very good!!

Omg, this so annoying, if I send someone the .ms3d file could they put a UV to her? You dont have to texture or anything I just can't seem to get thoes addon triangles to show up on the unwrapper.

I left you a message earlier on another thread and now i have no clue where it went to.

I can skin this modeler for you..... i need four things from you.

The pencil/charcoal drawings you already have posted.

A behind view drawing of her so i can generate you a texture mat specificly for this character.

The model in .x or .3ds format

And a drawing of her face without the hair for preserving the mesh detail.

I will colorize the drawings and get the proper skin tones for her if you want.

Or you could draw her in color as well as in black and white and i could bump map the textures and make features like her hair look more realistic.

It's your choice.....it's your model.

I will create two master texture mats for you as well as map the texture on the model for you.

If you want me to do this...e-mail me
[email protected]

If you would like to see some of my work you can check these models out:
http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=32858&b=7

I have some tricks up my sleeve that eliminate the need to use a wrapper if you know how to break the mesh down properly.

By the way......those sketches are verry good.......why the hell you arent working for a game development company is beyond me!

I can see your anime influences in her.

I'll have to see how sgtmay holding up. In the mean time I have plenty I need help with in terms of models, like another character:

Our thief and comic relief character Rijin.

I'll be making side and front prints today if you would like to work on him.

I will be re-shaping the head to match luna's features a little better than the baloon shaped head she started with

here's what it looks like now that i have reshaped the face and re-applied the skin and facial features for your character.......i might have to shrink the mouth a little more yet.

I didnt like the way the hair looked so i decided to play with the length a little....we'll see how it looks a few more versions later.

The texture mat is about 20% complete i still have lots to do to this yet.

I also need to move the cheek bones slightly higher to compliment the large eyes more.

now time to finish the dress and set all the colors.

Dont forget that glint that all Anime characters have

Try and make her hair a little more poofy

And I agree on resizing her mouth and touch up on her upper lipstick

Great work!

it doesnt match the rest of the body.....these are fantasy characters and they need to come close to the drawings.....which that face did not.

Yeah, her hair should be right above her shoulder.

Right now Im converting the project to DBPro, so far so good, just some minor variable and text problems.

sorry for taking so long.....

I messed my lower back up bad last week and i have been spending most of the last four days on my back.

It was a little too hard to concentrate on anything while sitting or standing till i got my back straightened out......it's still a little sore.....but tolerable now.

that's where i am at right now.....i'm almost ready to finish creating the texture mat for this character and wrapping this one up.

Let me know if i should fix anything else with the mesh before i get the final texture mat applied to this model.
