ok my question about this is can I make effect like magical effects like in everquest and anarchy online or is it only 2d?

It creates 2d images which you then put onto 3d objects as textures. You could put these textures onto any object wether it's a plane, cone, cylinder or sphere, all of which can be used to create some rather cool effects. I have never played Anarchy online, but I know I could reproduce some of the spell effects from Final Fantasy games quite easily so suspect it is more than possible.
