Geek Culture / Can anyone recommend a PDA thats under $250?

Well, I want to get a PDA for high school, because I'm very unorganized and plus it will give me something to do when i'm bored in class.

But I am picky, heres what I need:

Under $250
Wireless Capable
Decent Processor
Decent Battery Life
MP3 Playback not needed, would be cool though

The only one I saw like this was http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=924007&Sku=L27-1006 <-That one. Not bad, but I want to know if anyone knows of something better.

Thanks for any help. Oh, and I don't have $250 at the moment, so if you wanna just send some cash to me, it would help too... but, yeah.

Can organize everything with this baby!

Under $250 - Yep!
Wireless Capable - Don't see any wires
Decent Processor - It uses the best external Processor (Between your ears)
Decent Battery Life - Guarenteed to never run out of energy.
MP3 Playback not needed, would be cool though - Why Listen to songs when you can write your own lyrics?!

What the Abomb is saying that you wont find a PDA with al those specs that you listed for under $250. He is also right that a Pad is the best type of PDA.

and it looks like right now there is a special where you get a FREE 32MB memory stick(which you can upload MP3s to )

-$200
-plays MP3s (with a memory stick)
-(BTW Color screen )
-it can do some wireless communication but i'm not sure what kind of wireless communication you are talking about...
-arm processor(whatever that means )
-8MB(or 16...i forget ) "hard drive"(not really a hard drive...more of a internal memory...)

I don't know, I still like the PAD's persistent memory features and low battery usage. Also, its doodle feature is the best in the business. The huge writing surface is a plus. A backlit display would be nice, but I can live without that feature.

I've always found PALM systems to be very good value for money and have significantly better battery life than more feature heavy Windows based portables. Although the XDAII is quality, and if you get the right mobile phone contract its FREEEEEEE (Have to be over 18 for a phone contract tho, and it may be only in the UK on O2, not sure)

I know Dell do the Axim as a cheap PDa, it's under £250 I think, don't know how that translates into $.

Hit ebay for the HP Pocket PC, i got a 1910 for $160 and I'm very happy with it, it just doesn't have bluetooth wireless and the cpu is 200 mhz.. Which i overclock to about 333 mhz anyway

go for Palm, MS are rich enough and Palm are faster and make MUCH better use of memory, go for a tungsten e or higher, the wireless connection is IR in the tungsten e, bluetooth in the more expensive devices, plus you can beam notes and programs to mates who have Palms easily enough, theres a lot of good freeware out there for Palm and it takes bog standard SD memory cards (like in a camera), plays MP3 through realplayer, and if you have a 256 or 512 mb SD card you can store movies AND music on it as well as your software/notes/games etc (ie all those at the same time) I love Palm devices, I have 3

Mentor.

PC1: P4 hyperthreading 3ghz, 1gig mem, 2x160gig hd`s, Nvidia FX5900 gfx, 6 way surround sound, PC2: AMD 1.2ghz, 512mb ram, FX5200 ultra gfx, stereo 16 bit soundblaster, ups.

But you can install linux on a pocket pc.

AND it plays Quake.
