...the newsletter?

Someone tell me I'm not daft and it's usually out by now?

Damn Rich, you don't have to colour it all in, just release it!

Crabby flakes for breakfast today Exeat?

I actually don't read the logs religiously, I just thought it was a bit late for the newsletter - plus if it's not uploaded today I can't read it til Monday.

Which of my two posts came off in a bad way? I was simply stating facts with no emotion at all.

Maybe that's it then, you just don't seem to be in a good mood - which directly contradicts my typical Friday & payday mood .

No, that's just it. I AM in a good mood, I just started the first day of my 2 week holidays. Hence why I'm trying to pinpoint why you thought I wasn't.

Exeat your first few posts are seriously lacking in smileys.

for example:

Friday. Don't you read the logs?

...should be:

Too many smilies to sift through to find the one I want. Many a time have I looked for a o_O smilie but found none, and even more times I've tried to find a gritted teeth smilie but come out empty handed. As a result, the only smilies I use are: and Upon concluding each of my posts above, I considered the use of one of those 3 smilies but on each occasion I came to the decision that none were appropriate.

Hehe, not even this guy:
I reckon it's time we got some new smilies - got a good mind to draw some new ones and harass Rich to add them. I'm thinking that I'll have the little smilie dude...

Smashing his head off a wall.
Biting his own tongue off.
Trying to chew his own face.
Being squased by the TGC pyramid.
Being sliced (like a cucumber) but each slice showing a different traditional smilie.

The smilies we have are all fairly tame and rarely show the frame of mind of the average DB coder - I miss my RGT monkeys .

Enjoy your hols .

Rich told me when the forums first started that if i made him a smiliey he'd add it to the list of them.

I wanted the smiliy to be unlisted though which he wouldn't do, but I think you send any to him he won't need any persauding

Then why don't you just upload it to your site and simply link to the image?

It seems like yesterday the last newsletter came out and there was the fuss about the terrain commands which I accidentaly sparked. I wouldn't mind waiting another two weeks, personally. Isn't it funny how the summer days fly by? They're supposed to be long, too...
