well explained hyrichter, but this guy is too n00bish to understand what you said.
Okay, Mr. Sgt n00b Sir, I will explain to you. Alright, when you load a 3d object, you have to give it a number. This number is sort of an identification for that 3d model, for future commands that "do stuff" with the object, in your case, positioning the object (ill get to that). Here is an example:
here you see 2 numbers, one and one-hundered. the 1 is the object id. the second number is the radius of the sphere you are creating. now, positioning objects.
make object sphere 1,100
position object 1,800,900,0
okay, im also assuming you dont understand what X,Y,and Z values are. think of X coordinates as side-to side (horizontal), Y coordinates as up and down (vertical), and Z coordinates as, well, like, in FRont of you, and behind you. now onto positoning this object. when you want to positon an object, you must tell darkbasic 4 things: the number (identification) of the object you want to position, where along the X axis you want to position it, where along the Y axis you want to position it, and where along the Z axis you want to position it, in that order.
So, when you are saying "position object 1,800,900,0" you are basically positioning it, (assuming you are at 0,0,0) 800 units to the right of you, 900 units on top you, and 0 units in front of you.
Hope that made sense
PS-How old are you?? Grasping these concepts cant be that hard, i was 12 when i got DB.
PPS- did you read the user manual? did you do the tutorials? Jeez man, i wasted like 10 minutes writing this, it had better matke sense
