Thanks, Yer i'm not very good at texturing. I had a blue and green texture, but it didn't look very good. The polycounts around 270, if any one wants it you can get it here http://www.freewebs.com/hepy2/
Thanks,
Hepy

Pretty good job! I can see a few spots on the mesh that need cleaning up. As a suggestion, I'd taper the ends of the handle bars so they do not look as blocky.

What tool(s) did you use to create it?

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. I used Milkshape 3d to make the model and Paint Shop Pro 8 to make the texture. Thanks,
Hepy

Nice ...texture could be better but its OK. Try LithUnwrap for UV maping since its easier to use than Milkshape UV maper. You can get it free on my site.

Good luck with next models

Hi, thanks i've tried Lithunwrap and when i make the texture to a decal (y) map, the groups get mixed into each other making it impossible to texture. Thanks,

Only one I saw was somevhere on Milkshape tutorials page, there was something called Cs Girl modeling tut or something like that (quit complex one). There was part about UV maping in LithUnwrap.

In general it works like this:

-load model (you will probably see nothing on screet just one white dot in upper right corner)
-swich to face selection mode if you are not (important!)
-on right panel navigate to groups and click one you wish to UV map, it should select it automaticly ...white dot will change to red (if not just fence select it)
-go Tools >> UV Maping and select method you wish

now you should see your model group maped on UV space. You can switch to point selection mode and edit manualy.
Left click to get editing menu.

If you want to see whole model UV just click Edit>>Unhide All

Its also useful to load checker texture, you do it wia Materials>>Modify..>>Add

hope it help...

I use lithunwrap, here is what I do....

1)load model

2)hide all groups

3)unhide each piece one by one and use one of the uv map options to map it.

4) once all your pieces are layed out like you want them, save you model, and save you uv map.

5) open up you uv map in your paint program, and start texturing the endividual pieces!
