I am using 3DStudio Max 6. I made a 3d model of a robot and exported it. When I loaded the file into Dark Basic, I saw that parts of the model were missing. I found out the problem. While making the model I copy and paste some parts to save me the trouble to having to make them all over again when I need to use the same part more than once. But any part that was copied and pasted will not show on the model when I export it. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? Copying and pasting is a big time saver when making any 3d model so if it’s possible to correct this problem please tell me. I would hate to have to remake the model all over again, making each part from scratch.

rename them? might be that db is not liking the names of the copied parts, so just change the names from say arm01 to armleft

Select all your pieces and Reset X-Forms is what you need.

If they get flipped out then re-convert to editable mesh and flip them.

also, if your mesh is really screwed up, reset Xform might invert some normals. Just make sure you check your mesh quickly before exporting.

The Reset XForm worked!!!! I give my thanks to you all. Although im not super familar with 3d modeling, I havent played around with it all that much, just enough to make some basic models using shapes, but hopeuflly as I use it more ill get better. So what are you talking about when you refer to the mesh?
