what modeller do you want to use?

there are PLENTY of step-by-step tutorials on the web for each modelling software, all of which are free.

If you want to try MS3D out for 30 days and then buy it for 25$ USD you can get the free video tutorials from ISO's website. It'll teach you how to use MS3D from the ground up without any fancy jargon. Just do a search in google for ISO Milkshape 3D video tutorials. You'll see his website pop up.
