Nobody needs it right.... For about 6 months now its been saying Cannot find System32.exe when I go to my user...is that bad..

System32 is a folder, there isn't an Exe. Would say that it is a virus pretending to be a Windows file.

Sounds like a Virus has dropped it's load and is trying to load it on boot-up, it could be the case that Norton has squashed it, but it's still trying to load up.

If your confident, backup your registry, go into Regedit and search for system32.exe - check where it finds those entries, esp looking for stuff like 'RUN=', and remove each entry. Also check your entire PC for the file system32.exe and also check over your startup programs for any shortcuts to system32.exe.

If your lucky you'll get rid of it cleanly, if your unlucky (like worst case here) the virus will have taken some file associations, like .exe and will kill your windows install.

there isn't a system32.exe on my system so i think it'll be a virus, type msconfig in the run tool and it will bring up the startup control pannel, turn off system32.exe if it's there

Get Hijack This, it'll let you find the exe in the Registry and you can delete it.

You'll be suprised if you ran some programs like:
Ad-Aware
Hijack This
RegCleaner
etc.

I suggest you do some full spyware and virus scans. There are a lot of virusses that use fake "system-file" names like system32.exe to trick the user. Mostly spy-bots though.
