im wondering who can get the highest score in 3d mark 03 from http://www.futuremark.com

my current is 7140

if you can post your 3dr file as proof(just about to upload mine)

sys spec:
nvidia 5700
amd 2500+ barton
512mb of generic ram
n-force 2 motherboard

also run the test at 1024x768 resolution, you can tell from the 3dr file what resolution it was ran at btw.

well consider that i only spent £86 on my card and your card costs around £300, you dont get much of a improvement.

and your sys spec is almost double mine.

first i got around 8500 points with my x800 Pro.
then i modded it. so it has 16 pixelpipes and got around 9000.
i also raised the core and memory clock a bit and now i have more than 10300 and i only have AGP4X, so perhaps with AGP8X there maybe a further increase of my points.

btw it doesn't let me upload my project, it says something about a patch, but i didn't patch anything. and gamewiz, where is your proof for more than 7000 points?

edit: not patching was the problem. with this version i got 10142 Points

Curious...(these are all from an Athlon64 FX-51 w/512MB PC3200)

FX5700 Ultra 300/500 - 4410 (Forceware 52.72)

The test was the bog standard, 1024x768 no frill benchmark mode.
All of the tests were carried out under Windows XP 64-bit for AMD Processors, using 3D Mark 03 Patch 340 Professional on a clean installation (nothing else was on the system, it was bare minium hardware).

Now I did have a tweak with my FX5700 Ultra... and I lowered it's Core Volt to 1.3, attached my water cooling and really pushed both the card and ram to it's limits giving me a massive//
580MHz Core / 620MHz (1.24GHz DDR) Ram

The test running again produced, 5920 3D Marks.

Note: Athlon64 was running in 32bit Emulation Mode, meaning it was equal processing power as a 3.4GHz Pentium 4 HT EE.
The card used is a special edition IBM Model.

I didn't see your results on ORB, a 7,000 score out of all of those 3,800-4,200 would've stuck out like a sore thumb.

anyway, does anyone here have a nvidia 6800 (hopefully ultra). i'd like to see what scores it gets. acording to a computer book my dad buys the 6800 ultra beats the x800 by a lot.

30fps at that res... is playable, but barely.
For FarCry to be running at it's proper speed you much hit double what your card is; and a card capable of 7,000+ would be able to achieve that.

Also I have the 6800 Ultra PCI-X, but I don't have FarCry. (my brother has it now cause i was bored of it) and 600MB for a demo is just not going to happen no matter what connection i have that is just ridiculous!

Did you restart the pc before the test Pincho? I have:

AMD Athelon XP 1600+ (~1400mhz)
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro
128mb RAM

Without restarting my pc, 1 got around 1200, then I restarted, and turned all the ATI settings to performance, and I got ~ 3100.

Isn't it? Wasn't it? Marvellous!

you'd get that low with the stock drivers on a very very slow system...

62.76 (current WHQL release) on AthlonXP 2500+ I get 1,780 with my FX 5200 Standard. Stock speeds.
With my Pentium III 800MHz it was clocking around 1,500-ish. Which is adverage.

As for my 6800 Ultra, on my Athlon64 FX-51 System it gets a nice, 14,872 Stock Speed. However I run my 6800 Ultra and Athlon64 at overclocked speeds standardly.
Processor is running at 2.62GHz, GPU is running at 575MHz / 600MHz.
Score of that system boarders on 18,500; Hopefully will be getting a second one to test this new SLi stuff with
(that's running on the 61.11 Drivers released 2months back though, i heard the 61.77 released 2-days ago gives a huge 13% performance boost)

Might get a 5700. How much do they cost from a local shop?

Edit: Ok just been to my local shop. They haven't got a 5700, but they have a 5900 for £99 Plus they will give me £25 for my 5200.

So is that a good deal? 5900 for £74

5900 is a great deal for £74 i'd get it quick.

raven on your first link the prices are £72.95 exc. VAT | £85.72 inc. VAT | €124.48 inc. VAT not £82

if i known i could have got the ultra for £102 i would have got that instead
