So I got 3D Studio Max 4 opened, learned how to model my own stuff well enough and well... yeah... my problems arise when I don't even know how to do animations with the darn program. Can anyone help me out or guide me through this much needed step? Thanks!

you have to add bones to the model - with charater studio or with the built in bones system

but i dont know how to do this in max 4 because i have max 6

PC Spec- AMD Athlon 2.0Ghz, GeForce FX5200 128mb, 512MB of ram, Win XP Home SP1

Error 0 = no error - how is this an error the???

well they're both very similar, I tried 6... all 6 is, is just an updated version.

can you explain how to do it in 6? maybe it'll also work in 4.

I have 6 and I'm trying to figure out what exactly is character studio. Is it within 3ds max or is it its own stand alone program? I read all the help files and looked around and from what I understand, when I install 3ds max it should install character studio as well, although I could be wrong. How do I use character studio?

character studio is a plugin for max that is sold and installed seperately, it is basically an enhanced bone system that supports crowds - very good, i use it
