As a big Buffy and Angel fan, I just wanted to know what you guys thought of the Musical Buffy episode, where they were all singing!!! It was on TV last night, but I can't remember what channel. It was done like a musical and the reason they were all singing was cause of a Demon....... of course!

I thought it was great, and Spike is sooooooo fine!
He sang "why can't you let me Rest In Peace", which was really good, do you think it was really him singing?
Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over!

"I thought it was great, and Spike is sooooooo fine!"

For the rest of us, you can substitute Spike for Buffy (did you see those FHM shots!)

Hehe, that's the womans fave episode, It's really funny - sorta 60's musical cheesy. It's a little sad, but she has that episode on CD, like all the songs from it on an album. They're all on WinMX.

I loved it! Even better after watching it my wife admitted she fancies Willow!!! I was quite chuffed lol

Yes they all actually sung it, I think Anya & Buffy & Giles did the best job, its actually available to buy as an album too!

Well, my honset opinion: Buffy is... erm... odd.

I prefer old-school vampire films and movies. A matter of taste, I guess.

hehe I'm open minded. So long as she still finds me attractive Id rather she fancied girls than other guys, sounds kinda fun lol

Personally I like Buffy, Angels a bit too Action based for me. Cordelia is hot tho :p

I think the Buffy series is just hot girls pretending to be way younger then they are put in a low budget series with silly lines and bad actions. I like the movie, way better.

Now Dark Angel is something differnt. The only thing both series has in common is the hot girls, but they don't play silly teenagers =)

DG you haven't watched it enough. Episodes like "hush" or "school hard" or this last one beat any Dark Angel episode. The characters are more well developed, the plots are more richly layered and and the budget runs pretty healthy for a tv show. It's just way more creative and cool.

blah blah... buffy is so... contrice
DarkAngel had a much better underlined story - pitty at the end of the second series the writers kinda lost track and started to make its a lil more tacky.

what surprises me is that Angel didnt' turn out as tacky, and how it has more of a dark edge to it.
Ya ever see the "Sour" skittles start to Buffy when it was on, musta been like 6months back now ... what they said was so funny cause it was exactly how buffy was.

Well Buffy, like the movie, is first and foremost comedy, and it often makes fun of itself.
Anybody remember the Dracula one? She beats him, he turns to mist and begins to reform so she's already standing there with the spike ready and says something like "I've seen movies, you always do this." then when the mist begins to reform again she says "Ahem. I'm standing right here." So the mist scatters again.
Dark Angel started out cool and kind of got boring. Trying to be too serious or something. It even had a "vampire" episode. And that whole Beauty and the Beast guy that lived in the basement, what was up with that?

Way too many series are not taking it seriously, lots of funny comments ect. I can't watch that. Best series ever made was "Space above and beond". That was like watching a never ending movie. Sadly they ended it.

Another great series is Star Gate.

Rose:
First time they showed it here is Sweden it was on the best time (the reruns was really late though). Really sux that they canceled it, I don't remember the reason but it was very popular but they had to.

lol Sorry there was a very cheesey (But MASSIVELY successful at the time) American Teen Sitcom in the early to mid 90's called Saved by the Bell, and when I was younger I taped every episode... Not because I actually liked it but because I was obsessed with a character from it called Kelly Kapowski (played by Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, who since did some soft porn shoots, a few TV Movies, Shreik! and FHM)- Kelly's character was gorgeous, and the schools head cheerleader, but she was also clever, funny, every1s best friend, very loyal, and eventually and exeedingly doting wife to Zack. I just always kinda saw her as the perfect woman Anyway the main male character was called Zack and they used to hang at a club called the "max" so you unwittingly spiralled me back into some old memories

Obviously now I'm older, Married, have two kids and find it all a bit embarrassing - but she's still SOOooo hot! lol

Ahh cool (Glad u like her ) Thanks, I gave up on Angel after about 4 episodes, because it seemed to be mostly action based, and I like the humour and more complex emotions seen in Buffy. Actually caught a couple of random Angel episodes recently and kinda enjoyed them, so I might buy a DVD box set and try and catch up

Earth & Beyond was canceled for some pretty sick reasons actually and uncalled for if you ask me ... certainly wasn't a copyright infringement.
(can blame Time-Warner for it) it was a cool series, kinda wanted to know what happened next - the series ended so abruptly

Earth2 was another pretty serious one, felt like a continuation episode of the Outer Limits.

Don't worry if thats only how far you are DG you have another series to go. Was kinda confusing the series setup.
Got alot of surprises to look forward to
I kinda like the change from it being Government Manticore to Cult Manticore ... gives it a sick twist.
But the final episode just sucked the biggest load of donkey droppings in the world.

Don't get me started on Stargate thou, man the movie sucked a lil - was good but not like great. The series hehee ... can't get enough. God i'm so sad, next series is the FINAL series
"NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
Man i hope they finish it like i've been hearing they will, I would LOVE the final episode to be a full hollywood blockbuster movie

Kinda like the end of Series 2-3 with that 4part episode, that was cool ... i mean the whole series has an unfolding story, but for the most part its kinda like alot of little stories. Think its cool how the writers never seem to forget what has happened and like do things that they wouldn't have the resources for. Anyone who has seen the 6th series will understand alot better
So many of the stories have been HEAVILY based on previous stories and like intertwining with each other, yet they're self sufficient on thier own.

Still feel sorry for Jonus, still isn't like fully accepted into the team yet

Did anyone catch that Dinotopia series when it was on?
Was on the Hallmark Channel and SkyOne I believe - that was cool ... certainly the makin' of
Certainly shows Maya at its best, plugged into a Camera so you can realtime the camera movements so you can collate the actual movement of the scene as well ... i mean damn'd was outstandingly cool - because the on hand computer render'd realtime and such I love all these movie tricks

lol Call me what you will, so long as its not so obscure I don't know you're refering to me

Sadly (or cutely) enough my daughter is named Tiffani-Faye, after Tiffani-Amber - the Faye comming from my friend and all round squeeze Faye Tozer who some of you might know

I didn't like the Stargate Movie much, kinda dragged.

Dinotopia is damned amazing, plus I think UK gets it on terestrial this Xmas , not sure tho.

The Stargate series is better then the movie, not the same quality but more interesting. And you get used to see McGyver (what ever his real name is) as Jack after some episodes =) I hope they haven't canceled that series too, it's the only one I have left now that Ally McBeal has ended.

yeah Channel4 ... but i'm not sure when, and its the unedited - so the full 4 1/2 hours

ack Ally McBeal, not sure why people like that - so droll and a chick show (no offense ladies)
Like Sex and the City, but i can actually stand to watch that ... not for long.
As far as series like that go i'm more of a Friends and Fraiser guy

I love Friends as Fraiser. But Ally McBeal WAS cool. It was admittedly chick flicky but I don't mind that, I'm in touch with my sensitive side lol It kinda got stale about halfway throgh seies 3 4 me tho I agree the Stargate series is better than the film, but personally I never got fully in2 it. If I notice its on I watch it, but I don't set my watch by it

The only series' I always watch or tape are Buffy, tho Office and Phoenix Nights.

Oh, and Songs of Praise. I watch it religiously every Sunday. *runs laughing and dodging shrapnel*

lol @ Vegeta

We've already had Series two here, infact over Christmas they are repeating both series'. They are excellent - quite the freshest thing on Uk TV in the last 20 years

Funny how many amazing acts/show the 11 o'clock Show Spawned - Ali G/Borat/Ricky Gervais/McKenzie/Iain Lee/the monkey guy who's name escapes me, and the amazingly great Daisy Donovan to name a few - Did any1 see Daisy Daisy the American Beauty Queen, it was so quality

Space above and beyond was really cool. It was the most non-cheezy sci fi tv I've ever seen. It did seem a lot like Wing Commander, though.
