The characters are not suposto be detailed becouse when completed they will be rather small of the screen so detail doesnt matter as long as its recognizable as the character

Well when i started animated him i came across a bunch of problems that i thought might have became a problem like making it a symatry version of half of him and the fact that the tutorials i was reading off of(they where tutorial of how to make some fat kid) and it said to make the body then the clothes over the body leaving the polys under neath, well when i started placing bones and such the skin started showing underneath the clothes and sticking out and so on so i fixed the clothes and symetry and everything to where it moves very well and was low in count(deleted the skin under the clothes that was not seen) but i cant get it to export correctly, i used 3ds max 6(edu) and tryed it with the panda x exported but the best i can get is just the wireframe to be exported, it is not uvmapped it is materaled using the colors but not uvmapped and to make it cell shaded you used the ink and paint material and place that ontop of the other colors(was surprisingly easy) and i redid parts to where he doesnt look boxy but i cant get him to export, i exported him to .3ds and imported it into milkshape and all i get is the wireframe none of the colors, and when i export it into x using panda and try to view it in a DB media player from BLUE IDE it crases the player and make my AMD2700 1.5gig ram comptuter extreamly slow anyone know of a good was of exporting him to where he can be used in DB or should i just suck it up and UVmap him?

Why would u want to export it to .x? DBPro supports .3ds also.

Supposably .3ds does not support animation at first i thought 3ds was the format that 3ds max 6 comes in but its .max it lets you converyt it to .3ds whitch is how i got the wireframe but it didnt take the colors with it, so i found Panda that exports it to .x but all taht did was crash any thing i used to view it

Keep them cell shaded if you like the anime look. Which reminds me, anyone see the Astroboy videogame yet? I think it looks fantastic. Ah, nostalgia...
