Still a long way to go, but some progress has been made.

Added:
Night vision for the gunner, works just as well during the day as its more like a thermal sight.
Radar that moves as the camera moves.
Turret direction in relation to the hull.

Please read the controls document for more options.

dark coder,

I was thinking the same thing for the night vision but have not got to the point to code the effect.

I would be very happy to receive any help in that area. I am looking at more of a sci fi feel then a modern.

oki well if its sci fi :-P, you would expect more moder/future tank systems, ie a tracking marker so it predicts where the enemys will be if you shot at a ceratin place,

also from the advent of the new tgc compo im having to put 100% efforts into that as im on hliday in a few days so i wont be able to model anything for anyone else for some time

when using a joystick you can 'laze' to a moving target, 'track' the target (keep the reticle on the target) and after 2 seconds the reticle will move the right amount for the speed and distance of the target.

ah... scratch that. It use to do that. I will need to put that back in for the new reticle style I am now using.

I'm not looking at going Star Wars with this, just alittle more in to the future then the 15 years. And this is also just a work in progress But thanks for conferming that I am looking at adding the same features that other gamers would.

Very cool. Has a sort of an updated "Battlezone" feel to it....I like it. Keep at it Balid. Maybe the ability to detect heat signiatures would be cool? or is that too Rainbow 6-ish?

PC Specs: AMD 1800+ 512M DDR, Radeon 128meg DDR - DB v1.13

To DB or not to DB............duh DB!

@_Mike_: thank you for the words of encouragement. No, the heat signature is not too Rainbow 6-ish. I like the idea but have not comeup wiyh a good way to do it, without using skins. And that may be the easiest but my skinning skills are not that good (yet).

@granada: Try downloading it again. I downloaded the previously posted version and got the same error. So here a (hopefully) fixed version.

Thanks and sorry for the bad upload.

Looking good so far, but you might want to find a few more hi-res textures, they look quite stretched at the moment.
